This is a Full Time Hourly non-exempt position

Wage: $17 to $20 based on experience and meeting all essential criteria

Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision benefits eligibility is as of the 1st day of the month following employment
Other ancillary benefits, 401k, paid vac and paid holidays --eligible at 90 days
Paid sick time of offered the first day of FT employment and is allocated per quarter in which the start date falls.

Position Summary/Objective: The Bilingual Retail Sales Associate role is responsible for assisting customers in purchasing entertainment production products and equipment. This role ensures customers receive the highest level of customer service and the showroom is appropriately stocked and well maintained. The Retail Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for performing sales transactions. This role is required to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Essential Functions of the Bilingual Retail Sales Associate: While not all-inclusive, following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Manual, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.


Greeting customers in-person and answering/routing phone calls and emails



Process merchandise; purchases, refunds, exchanges, negotiations and upselling



Arranging for delivery/shipment of goods



Assisting in maintaining the stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor



Maintains product knowledge ( lighting/audio/video ), ability to recommend appropriate product to the client



Collaborate with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times


Required Education and Experience of the Bilingual Retail Sales Associate:


Bilingual - Spanish/English (required)



3 years experience in the live events industry or entertainment lighting



High School diploma, some college preferred or equivalent industry experience



Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies (Netsuite)



Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with customers, managers and fellow team members



Outstanding customer service skills, internal and external, including problem solving



Good working attitude, ability to develop positive relationships with clients and colleagues



Ability to work a flexible schedule



Proficient in email etiquette, data entry. Product research and basic mathematics.


Work Environment

This job operates in a retail, office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. This position has routine contact with customers and clients in a retail/office setting.

Physical Demands

The person in this role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and must move about inside the retail space and office to access file cabinets, office machinery and have routine contact with individuals and customers in the office and retail space. This person in this role must be able to lift 25lbs routinely and up to 100lbs occasionally.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full -time position. Hours of work will vary with the business, and during high volume sales period, evening and weekend work will be required. This position may require overtime during peak seasons and may also be less than 40 hours during slower periods. However, this role offers enough hours to remain a FT role.

Travel

This position requires minimal travel - 25%.
